We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions to help provide you with more information regarding the house and the Zimbali estate.
  • How many rental units are available from Zimbali Holiday Home?
  • At the moment we have two rental units in the Zimbali Coastal Resort. Our Acaciawood villa is a 5 bedroom (10 sleeper) unit, and our Baluwatu villa is a 4 bedroom (8 sleeper) unit. All the photos and information on this website describes these two properties, which are located at 22 Acaciawood Drive and 3 Baluwatu (105 Yellowwood Drive) respectively.
  • How far is the beach situated from the villas?
  • The new Zimbali beach and pool facilities are located about 1,5 km from the villas by estate road (800m straight-line distance); and the original (older) beach and pool facilities are located about 5km from the properties by estate road.
  • How big are the villas?
  • Our Acaciawood unit is a big property. It is a 580 m2 free-standing villa which is situated on a 1700 m2 property. While our duplex Baluwatu unit is still very spacious boasting a floor area of about 260 m2.
  • Can the villa be serviced on Sundays and public holidays during my stay?
  • Our villas are serviced daily from Monday to Saturday (excluding public holidays) at no extra cost. However, we can make arrangements with the cleaning company should you request to pay an additional fee and have the villa serviced on Sundays or public holidays. If you request this option, please inform us in advance so that the necessary arrangements can be made.
  • Are guests allowed to invite other people not staying in the Zimbali estate into the house?
  • Guests staying at the Zimbali Holiday Home and all other properties in the Zimbali estate are not permitted to have additional visitors without consent from Zimbali Estate Management Association (ZEMA), for security reasons. (Please refer to ZEMA rules)
  • How many cars can guests of Zimbali Holiday Home bring into the estate?
  • Generally 2 cars are allowed at no additional cost. However, ZEMA charges an additional fee for issuing an another access disk for an extra vehicle. The Zimbali Welcome Centre must be notified of this to make the necessary arrangements. (Please refer to ZEMA rules)
  • Are pets allowed in the estate/house?
  • Unfortunately, the Zimbali estate rules strictly forbids pets into the estate. Therefore, pets are also not allowed into the Zimbali Holiday Home. (Please refer to ZEMA rules)
  • Are the villas wheelchair friendly?
  • Unfortunately, our villas do not have wheelchair ramps and one has to climb a flight of stairs to enter the bedrooms in both properties.
